Well where to start?
A memorable day for our first Best Kept Community with so many positives being shared from those who attended the day.

There are endless thank yous to share as we move now towards Wednesday and the assessment for the Wales in Bloom Award for which we are keeping our fingers crossed.
Firstly thank you to the stalwart members of the planning group Dawn, Pat, Carol B, Tracey, Chris M, Carole L, Glenys who have turned up and helped plan events since the beginning plus those who joined us when they could.
To our MAD Group led by Carol B - such a positive outcome from the project they really are MAKING A DIFFERENCE as they seek further volunteers.
To all our entrants who supported and joined in this first pilot for the Best Kept Community and all merit acknowledgement for all their work. So many talented young and old(er) alike with creativity and green fingers.
To all those who made daffodils and contributed towards the Welsh daffodil wall. This will now be shared and displayed with our new Community Hwb in the Old School Building, Hawarden Road.
To our youngsters for making daffodils that brightened the Institute and for the incredible Community in Bloom display. Deservedly Community Champions.

To fellow councillors who have been supportive in a variety of ways and supported MAD sessions with Carol, attended on Saturday to help with tables, chairs, Roy for putting back the WI Centenary tapestry part of the history of our community, David and the tree planting and the many other ways they helped when they could. Andy, Roy, Jeff, David, Tracey & Glenys.
To Sarah our Clerk whose support has been constant and so appreciated.
To Chris and Glyn who continually keep our community looking good. Their input is invaluable, an asset to the community.
Our sponsors who helped us towards the event and our local businesses who donated funding, prizes, raffle contributions and refreshments. Many of these are displaying our poster supporting the BKC and Wales in Bloom visit.

A community council initiative manned and planned by residents together with council, there were plenty of smiles which says it all. A community coming together.
Onwards now to Wednesday and our Wales in Bloom assessor visit. Fingers crossed. The community deserve the acknowledgement for all they have worked towards.
