Highlights from the Community Council Meeting
September 2026

 

  • The council reviewed the applications for the Councillor Vacancy and are pleased to announce that Mr Tom Blower was co-opted and will join the council in October.

  • We are still pursuing Flintshire CC for road and safety improvements outside St John the Baptist School and also the top of Penymynydd Road.

  • Thank you to all that was involved in our Best Kept Community Competition and our Wales in Bloom entry.  We were overwhelmed with the support and will be looking on how the competition may look in the future.  The Wales in Bloom results will be announced mid October.

  • It is hoped that our next Drop In Session will be held on either 17th or 31st October @ The Royal British Legion.  We will publish which date, as soon as possible.

  • We are pleased to announce the appointment of Miss Katie Pye for the Youth Representative vacancy.

  • We will be contacting the relative parties about improving the telephone kiosk and bus shelter on Hawarden Road.

  • The council are still working towards taking on the land lease for the Millstone Allotments.

  • The date of the next meeting will be 14th October 2026
