Highlights from the Community Council Meeting June 2026
The council received a visit from a Member of the Bee Keepers Association who provided important information on Asian Hornets which have been identified in our area. More information can be found on our website or facebook.
Due to the resignation of Cllr Lisa Overington, the council are currently advertising the Casual Vacancy Notice. This allows residents the opportunity to request an election. If no election is requested, the council will then advertise to fill the vacancy by Co-option.
Thank you to all who have been involved in the Best Kept Community, whether entering the competition, sponsors or volunteering with the MAD Group. We received over 40 entries which is exceptional for our first year. Viewing of the entries will be undertaken on 22nd June.

o Best Kept Community Day of Celebration – 11th July
A busy meeting with 9x planning applications to review and consider.
The council are supporting Woodswork in the showing of the ‘National Emergency Climate Change Briefing’. More details to follow.
The council are still working towards taking on the land lease for the Millstone Allotments.
