Highlights from February Meeting

Community Council Meeting Highlights February 2026

  • The council would like to explore options for land acquisition to provide open space for the community.

  • Upcoming Community Engagement Drop In events to be held at The Royal British Legion:

    • Thursday 19th February, 6.30pm-8pm     

    • Saturday 21st March, 10.30 – 12 noon    

    • Tuesday 21st April, 6.30pm – 8pm 

    • Saturday 23rd May, 10.30 – 12noon

  • Continued work with the County Councillors and FCC on road safety issues outside St John’s School, Penymynydd Road and Station roundabout.

  • The Best Kept Community – Plants, Pots and Display competition has been launched and the entry form can be accessed on our website or by scanning the QR code.

  • Two Flintshire County Council consultations are currently open which you can access from our News Page or the FCC website:

    • Planning Enforcement Policy Consultation

    • Draft Community Review Report Consultation

  • Date of the next meeting – 11th March 2026
