Highlights for September Meeting

Highlights from the Community Council Meeting September 2025

  • After 3 years, unfortunately our Youth Representative Natasha Boleyn has resigned from her position on the council.  A wonderful young lady who gave her full commitment to the council and community during her time.  The council can appoint up to two Youth Representatives.

  • The council co-opted Mr Gareth Allen to fill one of the two Councillor vacancies and he will join the council in October.  The remaining vacancy will be readvertised.

  • Old School Site – a meeting has been held with FCC to ensure open communication continues.  However, at this time there is no update to report.

  • The council and Community Engagement Working Group are working towards holding a Best Kept Community Competition for 2026 – watch this space!

  • The council held a successful Defibrillator and First Aid Training in July and has a further session in September.  Both courses fully booked, with waiting lists.  We will be looking to hold further events in the new year.

  • Community Drop In Events

o   Saturday 8th October – WMI.

o   Saturday 22nd November – Jemoleys.

o   Saturday 6th December (festive drop in with refreshments) – WMI.

  • A positive meeting has been held with Welsh Water and FCC to discuss the drainage issues in the village.

  • The Annual Grant Application forms will be launched in the coming weeks.  Please see our website for more information.
