Highlights for June Council Meeting

Highlights from the Community Council Meeting June 2025

v  Cllr Peter Kelly has resigned with immediate effect.  The vacancy will formally be included on the July agenda.

v  Paul Calland (Flintshire County Council) Strategic Housing & Delivery Programme Manager attended the meeting to provide an update on the progress on the development of the old school site.

v  The improvements works at the Clock Tower have now been completed which are a great improvement.  The council will also be considering some additional works to the paving in
front of the clock at the next meeting.

v  The pump track has been built but is not yet open.  There is still some work to be completed and safety signage to be installed before it can officially be open. It is hoped this will be within the next few weeks.

v  The council have reviewed the maintenance requirements of their CCTV and will be going back out to obtain quote for the annual maintenance contract.

v  The council have approved to explore means of funding to acquire land in the village to be used for recreation.

Saturday 21st June – Penyffordd Carnival

Saturday 26th July, 10.30am, Jemoleys

v  Keep an eye out as the council with The Red Cross will be promoting 2x free first aid and defibrillator training sessions.
