Information from OWL Cymru

The Council has been contacted by Owl Cymru with some information on how they can assist the older person (over 50).

  • Have knowledge of the latest process and developments within the locations of Flintshire

  • Support to develop new Forums/groups

  • Support existing ones to stay vibrant

  • Sign post to all or any agency

  • Discern needs of older person

  • Be aware of all changing policies in Flintshire

  • By pass the CAB waiting list

  • Be aware of all the new and changing policies in Cardiff that effect older people

  • Sign post to volunteer work

  • Cut through the jargon of information received, ie explain new policies and help with letter reading, dissect and simplify

  • Tell you where the nearest meeting/social group is

  • Also supports the 50+ Action Group
