Redrow Chester Road

January 2019 status

The Proposal
A development of 186 semi-detached and detached 3 and 4 bedroom homes including 25 affordable homes and a Multi-use Games Area (MUGA).

Planning Status
Approved on appeal in May 2018.
Conditions have all been approved. Replan (shown) has been since redrawn and another planning application submitted. The new plan introduces a sewerage pumping station adjacent to Kent Close.

Timescale
The whole site is expected to be complete by 2023.

Connections to adjacent developments
Roads
The only road access will be onto Chester Road.
Footpaths
There will be access through Kent Close, Hulleys Close and the Bridal Way to connect to existing walkways.
Drains
Foul drains for up to 19 houses will be connected at Kent Close. The balance will either go visa Kent Close if Redrow can increase the capacity in the village system (by diverting water from the school or Institute), if not it will be pumped back across the site directly to Terrace Lane. Surface water drains via Chester Road and into Black Brook beyond Terrace Lane.
